Eldosec Security Village was established and incorporated as a Section 21 company in the year 2000, according to the requirements of the Companies Act (Act 61 of 1973), to provide a safe and secure environment for all residents. This mandate is preserved and protected by the Articles of Association, which can be viewed on written request.
A Board of Directors manages the affairs of the Village and is composed of seven volunteer member residents with a desire to serve the community in a specific portfolio. Each Director is registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office (CIPRO) and Board meetings are held monthly. Mr Property is appointed by the Executive to manage the financial aspects of the business, and the annual financial statements are audited by Rautenbach & van Niekerk. LR Risk Management are contracted to supply access control services, and are supported by Copwatch who also manage the Panic Alert system. All residents are invited to the Annual General Meeting held in September.
The Village incorporates the townships of Eldoraigne X6 and X9 and includes 178 residential homes and 5 townhouse complexes. Authorisation for temporary closure was received from the City of Tshwane in February 2011 and resulted in the erection of the entrance and exit booms, guard house and related infrastructure. An application for permanent closure has been heard and granted by the North Gauteng High Court. This order of the court will be finalised by the City of Tshwane in the first half of 2013 when the only objection to the process has been heard and decided.
